Auburn fired Gua Malzahn after 7 seasons, including his $21 million(!!!) buyout. While a nice guy, it’s been clear for years now that Gus isn’t the right fit. All signs/rumors are pointing to Hugh Freeze as his replacement. But would that really be an upgrade? Take out his one good year at Ole Miss, a year that was achieved by skirting some of the NCAA’s rules, and what do you have? It will be interesting for sure.
