The Masters to host College Gameday

In a year that has had all types of twists and turns, here’s one that’s actually kind of cool. The Masters will host this College Gameday on Nov 14th. Lots of great college football games, including Wiscy @ Michigan and Bama @ LSU, and the Masters in one weekend. 🔥🔥🔥

Strange, but True for college football's Week 8

Time for the strange, but true from this past weekend's college football action. - When #14 UNC hosted #23 NC State, it marked the 110th time the two teams have faced off in the 125-yr history of the rivalry. Remarkably, it was only the 3rd time that both teams were ranked when they played. That's a lot of one side or the other being mediocre. The Tar Heels won 48-21, meaning the Wolfpack will return to the Land of the Unranked. - #18 Michigan had an impressive victory over #21 Minnesota, 49-24. Wolverine QB Joe Milton had a solid game, passing for 225 yds, rushing for 52 yds, and accounting for 2 total touchdowns. But how is any of this strange, but true? When Milton took center, it marked the first time in head coach Jim Harbaugh's college coaching career that he started a game with a QB that he had recruited. [insert shocked Pikachu here] - When unranked Indiana upset #8 Penn State on an amazing and/or controversial 2-pt conversion by QB Michael Pennix, the Hoosiers partied like it was 1987. That was the last time an Indiana team had beaten a Top 10 opponent, when they beat #9 Ohio St. That spanned 42 games, the 2nd longest streak in B1G history. The current longest active streak in FBS for no victories against the Top 10 is Wake Forest at 63. So congratulations, Demon Deacs! - Speaking of the Hoosiers' upset, many Nittany Lion fans were disappointed by a loss in which PSU dominated the game in almost every aspect. In fact, according to College FB Reference, it marked only the 2nd time since 2000 in which the losing team gained 475+ yards of offense, while the winning team gained 225 yds or fewer. The only other team to "accomplish" the feat was the 2004 Oregon Ducks. Their opponent that day? The Indiana Hoosiers. Strange, but true.

Army/Navy game to be held at West Point

Due to attendance limitations in Pennsylvania, the Army/Navy game this year will be held at West Point, instead of the traditional Philadelphia locale. This will be the first time since 1943 that the rivalry will be played at one of the home fields. Really cool.
