After Hawkeyes victory, Kirk Ferentz kicks dirt on Minnesota’s grave

Down 35-0 late in the 4Q, Minnesota was trying desperately to score to avoid the shutout at the hands of the Hawkeyes. That included calling a timeout out with 0:19 left in a goal to go situation. Apparently, that didn’t sit well with head coach Kirk Ferentz. After that, Ferentz called 3 straight timeouts to extend the Gophers pain a little longer. After the game, Ferentz said, "We figured we'd take Floyd (Floyd of Rosedale, the trophy that goes to the winner of the Iowa/Minnesota game) with us and leave the timeouts here." Ouch! The good news for the Gophs is they did score on that drive. So they got that going for them. Which is nice. 😂
