Saban, Bama hire Whisenhunt as special assistant

Former NFL coach Ken Whisenhunt, who had a four-year tenure as offensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Chargers among other stops, has joined Alabama's football staff as the special assistant to head coach Nick Saban.
