Oregon State football reached bowl eligibility for the first time since 2013 on Saturday (Nov. 13), taking down visiting Stanford 35-14 on a rainy day inCorvallis. Quarterback Chance Nolan went 19/25 for 257 yards and two touchdowns. B.J. Baylor rushed for 80 yards, putting him over the 1,000-yard mark for the season. Ari Patu became the first true-freshman to start at quarterback for Stanford since 1983. He went 7/14 for 51 yards and completed his first career touchdown pass.
