Shareef O’Neal, Shaquille O’Neal’s son, committed to the University of Arizona.
The 6’7″ 185 lb four-star power forward out of Los Angeles will have some big shoes to fill (both literally and figuratively) by following in the footsteps of his father and playing D1 basketball. However, just as his IG post says, he is committed to making his own legacy. Comparing him to his father would not be fair, as Shaq was one of the more unstoppable forces to ever step on the court.
This signing keeps the Wildcats train rolling, as head coach Sean Miller continues to snag up big recruit after big recruit. It appears to continue to be mainly a three-team race in the Pac 12 between Arizona, UCLA, and Oregon. With O’Neal committing to the Wildcats, Zona is trying to stay a step ahead of the other two.
